A Toronto transit driver has been suspended pending an investigation into a video that shows a driver taking a seven-minute coffee break.
The Amalgamated Transit Union, which represents TTC workers, says the incident is now under investigation.
The union says the video purportedly shows the operator taking a seven-minute washroom break and buying a coffee at a doughnut shop at 3:00 a.m. last Friday.
The grainy video was shot by passenger Reuven Politi and posted online.
In the video, a driver is seen leaving the bus door open and the engine idling while he takes the break.
The seven-minute video also apparently shows a rider complaining about the delay.
The driver is then seen putting his finger to his lips in a gesture meant to silence her.
The TTC recently apologized to riders over another incident in which a photograph surfaced of a subway collector caught napping on the job.
