Employee allegedly stole elderly patients' credit cards and personal information
Police are looking for more victims after a Trillium Health Centre employee was charged with fraud for defrauding several elderly hospital patients.
The employee, who works at the Mississauga Hospital, allegedly stole elderly patients’ credit cards and their personal information while using the funds for her personal gain, according to Peel Regional Police.
A 40-year-old Mississauga resident was arrested after an investigation and faces fraud-related charges.
The fraud had been taking place since February, investigators say. They believe there are more victims and are asking anyone who may have been victimized or those with information to call Peel police’s fraud bureau at 905-453-2121 ext. 3335.
