Toronto has been experiencing its first real taste of frigid winter temperatures over the last few days, but some were brave enough to bare it all in the below zero weather this Family Day.
More than 200 people stripped down to their swimsuits to take a dip in a swimming pool set up at Yonge-Dundas Square for the Great Canadian Chill event — including CBC Toronto reporter Greg Ross.
All the funds raised by the event will go to the Sears Cancer Clinic, a world-renowned treatment centre for children, and the Sears Childhood Cancer Fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children.
So far more than $100,000 has been raised.
All those who took the deep freeze plunge were able to warm up with some on-site hot tubs.
