Good morning! Make sure to get outside and enjoy the sun and mild temperatures today, because a cool down is on the way for your first weekend of April.

As of 6 a.m. it was 0 C in Toronto. Mainly sunny skies are in the forecast for today with a high of 11 C.

Last blast of winter this weekend

Sorry Toronto, don't put away your winter jackets and toques just yet, some winter-like weather is on the way this weekend.

CBC meteorologist Jay Scotland says a polar vortex is set to hit Ontario this weekend before moving through Eastern and Central Canada.

For Toronto the cooldown means daytime highs hovering around the freezing mark this weekend with a chance of flurries.
