Good morning! Be sure to enjoy this mild weather while it lasts in Toronto.

As of 5:30 a.m., it is 5 C in the city. Mainly cloudy skies are in the forecast for today with a 40 per cent chance of showers. Don't let the rain bring you down — Toronto will hit a daytime high of 6 C this morning.

Unfortunately, this very mild high will be a short-lived one. The temperature will slide down to 3 C this afternoon, which is still relatively mild for the end of January.

The cloudy skies will stick around tonight with a 60 per cent chance of flurries as the temperature falls to an overnight low of –3 C.

Mild weather continues

Daytime highs are expected to remain mostly above freezing this week, with the exception of Friday when a high of –2 C is expected.

But then the temperature is expected to rise again for your weekend with highs of 4 C expected for Saturday and Sunday.
