Good morning and happy St. Patrick's Day!

You probably won't need your umbrella this morning but you still better grab it as you head out the door, more rain is expected this afternoon.

As of 5:30 a.m. it was 6 C in Toronto. A mix of sun and clouds are expected in the city this morning but there's a 70 per cent chance of showers and a risk of a thunderstorm this afternoon, with a high of 11 C.

The risk of showers will drop to 30 per cent after midnight, although that risk is also for flurries as an overnight low of 1 C is expected.

Cold front on the way for your weekend

Enjoy the double-digit daytime high today, we might not see another for awhile. A cold front is headed toward Toronto and the high for Friday is only supposed to reach 4 C.

The good news is that after a work week of rain, sunny skies are in the forecast for the weekend, but unfortunately Saturday will only reach a high of 2 C and Sunday is only expected to hit 3 C.
