Good morning! Make sure to grab your umbrella as you head out the door, rain is in the forecast today with a risk of thunderstorms.

Environment Canada has issued another a special weather statement for the city and surrounding areas after cancelling it just after noon today.

The statement warns of strong northwesterly winds with a few gusts reaching 80 km/h this afternoon and into early the evening.

 "Loose objects may be tossed by the wind," the weather agency said in the statement.

As of 5:30 a.m., it was 7 C in Toronto. Today's high is 8 C. Rain showers are expected to continue on and off for your Easter Monday with a risk of thunderstorms this morning.

There was already a bit of storm activity overnight — you might have been woken up by some thunder at around 4 a.m.

The active weather is supposed to stop this evening with mainly cloudy skies in the forecast and an overnight low of –4 C.

Sun returns tomorrow

As you're sloshing through the soggy weather today, just look forward to tomorrow's forecast.

Sunny skies are expected for your Tuesday, along with a high of 7 C.
