Good morning and happy Friday!

Make sure to bundle up as you head out the door this morning because even though the extreme cold weather alert has been lifted for Toronto, it's still quite cold outside with the wind chill.

As of 9:30 a.m., it is –8 C in Toronto, but it feels like –16 with the wind chill.

Sunny skies are expected to return later today after a couple of days of snow and rain from a winter storm that hit the city. A high of –2 C is expected Friday.

Warm up for the weekend

Thankfully, today's cold snap is not expected to last.

Temperatures are expected to climb up to a high of 5 C Saturday under cloudy skies and rise even higher on Sunday to a high of 8 C.
