Toronto police say that a two-week investigation culminated in a series of overnight raids, in which officers seized $90,000 in cash and nearly $2 million worth of illegal drugs.
Police say they raided four Toronto addresses and two additional addresses in York Region.
While executing the search warrants, police say they seized the following quantities of drugs:
- Two kilograms of cocaine
- One kilogram of ketamine
- 30 kilograms of marijuana
- 17.5 kilograms of MDMA (ecstasy)
- 300 grams of heroin
- 60 grams of crystal meth
Five men are facing multiple counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime.
Four of the accused are from Toronto, the fifth is from Richmond Hill. All were due to appear in court on Tuesday.
