Toronto police say they have made an arrest in connection with the city's first homicide of 2012.

Toronto police say they have made an arrest in connection with the city’s first homicide of 2012.

Police found the body of 20-year-old Jamahl Franklin on a sidewalk outside a house on Hupfield Trail on Jan. 1.

The victim had been attending a party inside the residence prior to his death.

On Thursday, police arrested 22-year-old Baptists Bernier.

He appeared in court on Friday. He is charged with second-degree murder.
