Toronto police appeal for information in attempted kidnapping

Toronto police are appealing to the public for information regarding an attempted kidnapping that occurred on Tuesday afternoon in the city’s east end.

Toronto police are appealing to the public for information regarding an attempted kidnapping that occurred on Tuesday afternoon in the city’s east end.

According to police, a woman was walking near the intersection of Jones and Baird Avenues at 12:30 p.m. ET when she was approached by several men in a vehicle.

One of the men attempted to talk with the woman, but when she refused and continued walking, a passenger grabbed her arm and tried to force her into the vehicle.

The woman managed to break free and called police.

The driver of the vehicle was described as a black male, 20 to 23-years-old, with braided hair. 

The passenger of the vehicle was described as male, white, 20 to 23-years-old, wearing a black winter hat and grey track suit.
