Toronto man charged after injured woman found in park
A Toronto man has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated sexual assault after an injured woman was found lying unconscious near a downtown parkette.
Police say the woman was found near a parkette in the Dundas Street East and Sherbourne Street area at 3 a.m. on Tuesday.
The woman was naked, unconscious and had suffered severe facial injuries.
Hours later, police released a photo of a male suspect and subsequently made an arrest.
A 21-year-old Toronto man is charged with choking, forcible confinement, aggravated assault, aggravated sexual assault and attempted murder.
