Fog, as well as wet and slippery roads, may pose a problem for drivers in southern Ontario in the hours ahead tonight, and in the morning.
Environment Canada updated a special weather statement on Sunday evening, advising that dense fog was forming over southern Ontario.
For Toronto specifically, fog patches had begun developing in the evening.
The weather agency says that the fog could make driving more hazardous throughout the evening and into Monday morning.
The special weather statement affects many parts of the GTA, including:
- City of Toronto
- Halton — Peel
- City of Hamilton
- York — Durham
- Dufferin — Innisfil
- Barrie — Orillia — Midland
Additionally, Environment Canada says that the light rain and drizzle that has fallen on these areas over the weekend could lead to slippery road conditions as the temperature drops overnight.
