A toddler was taken to Sick Kids Hospital Saturday evening after slipping through a railing attached to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and falling four metres near the Rogers Centre.

The boy landed near the future site of the Ripley's Aquarium in a construction area where EMS rushed to the scene.

The boy was conscious, breathing and crying, but was classified to be in serious non-life threatening condition.

No further details were given on the identity of the boy or the cause of the fall.
