Thornhill home was target of incendiary device, police say
Someone attempted to throw "an incendiary device" through the front window of a Thornhill home this morning, though police say the homeowner woke up and managed to put out a small fire that resulted.
York Regional Police say that a man living at a house on Oakhurst Drive woke up at 4 a.m. to the sound of breaking glass.
The homeowner quickly extinguished a small fire that started. Police say the house suffered minor damage.
Investigators have since determined that the front window was broken first and then a suspect attempted to throw the device through it.
