Thanksgiving shooting sends man to hospital

Police say a man in his 20s was shot during the early hours of Monday morning near York Street and Adelaide Street West.

Injuries are non-life threatening

An early Thanksgiving morning shooting in downtown Toronto has sent one man to hospital.

Police say a man in his 20s was found suffering from a gunshot wound during the early hours of Monday morning near York Street and Adelaide Street West.

Emergency workers were called to the scene just after 4 a.m. and found the man conscious and breathing. They transported him to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 

The area was briefly closed to traffic while police conducted their investigation.

Police have not released any details on suspects.
