Banks and many city services in Toronto are closed for Thanksgiving Monday, as are most stores and malls. Here's a look at what's different this weekend, particularly on Monday.

Food, drink and shopping

  • Most grocery stores will be closed on Monday, Oct. 13, with the following exceptions:
  • Sobeys locations, some 24 hours and some holiday schedule
  • Fine Foods (1909 Lawrence Ave. East), 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Metro (444 Yonge St.), open 24 hours
  • Loblaws (60 Carlton St.) - 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • T&T Supermarket (two locations, 7070 Warden Ave., 9255 Woodbine Ave.), 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Whole Foods Yorkville (87 Avenue Rd.), 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Galleria Supermarket (7040 Yonge St.), open 24 hours
  • All LCBO stores will be closed on Monday, Oct. 13 and resume business on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
  • All of Toronto's LCBO and The Beer Store locations will be closed.
  • Beer will be available at the following locations:
    • Steam Whistle (255 Bremner Boulevard),12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
    • Mill St. Brewery (21 Tankhouse Lane), 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Amsterdam Brewhouse (245 Queens Quay West), 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
    • Bellwoods Brewery Bottle Shop (124 Ossington Avenue), 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Eaton Centre, Square One, Pacific Mall and Vaughan Mills are open on Monday.

Museums and galleries

  • The Ontario Science Centre (770 Don Mills Road), 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • The Royal Ontario Museum(100 Queen's Park), 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m..
  • Ripley's Aquarium of Canada (288 Bremner Boulevard), 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • The Toronto Zoo (2000 Meadowvale Road), 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

City of Toronto

City services

  • Business will resume as usual on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
  • The 311 contact centre will be open for urgent matters requiring the city's immediate attention.

Garbage, green bin and recycling collection

  • There will be no curbside green bin, recycling or garbage collection on Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving Day's pickup will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 14.

Parking

  • All City of Toronto parking regulations and restrictions will apply during this time.

Transit service

  • The TTC operates on a holiday schedule on Monday.

Toronto Public Library

  • All branches, departments and services of the Toronto Public Library will be closed. Business will resume as usual on Tuesday, October 14.
