Police say the teen was walking with friends along the tracks around 3 a.m.

Police say the teen was walking with friends along the tracks at around 3 a.m. near Mount Pleasant Road and Roxborough Drive when he was struck by a freight train.

Paramedics say the teen suffered a head injury and was rushed to hospital.

There is no word on whether alcohol was a factor.
