Toronto Community Housing recently pulled a valuable property in the Beach off the real-estate market after learning that a zoning issue would prohibit a buyer from building on it.

A property it owns on Balsam Avenue, which backs onto the Glen Stewart Ravine, was recently put up for sale for $1.3 million.

An offer came in, but the process was halted when it was discovered that the property was zoned as parkland and the prospective buyer would not be able to proceed with construction.
