Police say they have arrested a suspect in connection with a sexual assault near Scarborough Town Centre.

Police say a 23-year-old woman was assaulted on July 2 at 10:40 p.m. while walking to her car near the east-end mall.

The suspect followed her, asked her for directions and then sexually assaulted the woman before fleeing on foot towards Brimley Road, according to investigators.

Police on Friday asked for the public's help identifying a suspect who had been seen on surveillance cameras. By Friday evening police said they had made an arrest. The suspect's identity is not being released because he is a minor, say police.
