No weekend TTC subway service between St. George and Lawrence West stations

If you're heading downtown on Saturday or Sunday, note that there is no subway service on Line 1 between St. George and Lawrence West stations.

Closure clears way for TTC to upgrade track, signal system

If you're planning to take the subway this weekend, take note of the following closure:

  • There will be no subway service between St. George and Lawrence stations on the Yonge-University line (Line 1).

The TTC says the closure is needed to upgrade signals and track work.

Trains on the Yonge-University line will turn back southbound at St George Station and northbound at Lawrence West.

Shuttle buses will stop at all stations with the exception of the following:

  • Glencairn Station will be closed: board shuttle buses at Bathurst Street and Glencairn Avenue.
  • Eglinton West Station will be closed: board shuttle buses at Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West.
  • St Clair West Station will be open: board shuttle buses at Bathurst Street and St Clair West Avenue.

Wheel-Trans buses will operate between St. George and Lawrence West stations upon request. Passengers can request a Wheel-Trans bus by speaking with a supervisor at these stations.

Buses in the area will also be diverting. The TTC has information about those diversions here
