Barrie, Ont., man charged with assault of infant

A Barrie, Ont., man has been charged after an alleged assault on a six-month-old girl.
Barrie police were called to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Saturday night, following a report that an infant had been assaulted.
An attending officer confirmed the injuries with staff at the hospital.
Police say a 25-year-old man now faces a charge of assault causing bodily harm.
The investigation continues.
