More human remains have been found in Kitchener, Ont., in connection with the death of Kelsey Felker, whose torso was discovered in a garbage bin behind an apartment building Jan. 26.

Police spokesman Olaf Heinzel said that the new remains were recovered Thursday and Friday at two other locations in Kitchener.

Waterloo Regional Police Service has said that through investigative efforts and information gathered from members of the community, the remains were found and the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Felker's death continues.

The remains were transported to Hamilton where a post-mortem examination will provide further analysis.

"We are very proud of the efforts of our investigators and are grateful to members of our community who have provided information," said Deputy Chief Brent Thomlison. "Our hope is that the progress made so far will help family and friends begin to come to terms with the tragic loss of Kelsey."

Police arrested Stephen Johnson, 37, on Thursday and charged him with first-degree murder and indignity to a human body.

Police said they do not expect to make other arrests in the case.

Johnson is set to appear in court on Feb. 15.

The 24-year-old Felker's remains were found Saturday inside a trash dumpster at 250 Frederick St. in Kitchener.

Her torso was wrapped in a black T-shirt that read "Forget princess, I want to be a vampire."

Heinzel said investigators are looking into the possibility of a third scene with more body parts.
