A woman accused of hitting and spitting on a TTC driver has been charged with assault.
According to Toronto Police Services, the woman attempted to board a streetcar at King Street West and Jameson Avenue Monday morning, and refused to pay the $3 fare. When she was denied boarding, the woman allegedly spit on, and hit the driver.
Police arrested her shortly after she fled the scene.
The 35-year-old Toronto woman has been charged with assault and failure to comply with her probation.
