Woman seriously injured when hit by streetcar

A woman pedestrian in her early 20s was struck by a streetcar on St. Clair Ave. W. near Dufferin Street late Monday afternoon, according to Toronto Emergency Medical Services.
The woman was hit by a streetcar on St. Clair Ave. W. near Dufferin Street. (Google)Paramedics said the woman was thrown 20 feet by the impact.
The victim is reported to have suffered serious injuries, and was rushed to the trauma centre at St. Michael's Hospital.
Police have closed off the intersection while they investigate.
