Woman found stabbed to death at Parkdale home

A Toronto woman was found stabbed to death at a Parkdale home and police believe that she knew her killer.
Police say that Rita Adams, 59, of Toronto, was found dead at a Maynard Avenue home on Oct. 29, 2012. A post-mortem examination has determined that she died from multiple stab injuries. (Toronto Police Service)Toronto police say they were called to a Maynard Avenue home early Monday afternoon.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a deceased woman who had obvious signs of trauma.
Police have since identified the victim as Rita Adams, 59, of Toronto.
A post-mortem examination has been conducted and police say the victim died of multiple stab injuries.
Investigators say Adams was a “spiritual advisor” and they are trying to piece together her movements in the final weeks of her life.
They are also looking to speak with those who knew the victim or those who had contact with her.
