Toronto police homicide detectives are investigating after a man was shot and killed in Scarborough early Saturday morning.

It happened at around 12:30 a.m. outside a home on Fawcett Trail, near Morningside Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East.

Police say a man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

It's not known what led to the shooting, and so far there is no word on any suspects.

The victim's name has not been released.
