The 18th annual Fan Expo Canada officially opened its doors at the Toronto Metro Convention Centre on Thursday, Charlsie Agro reports.

Former The Incredible Hulk actor Lou Ferrigno helped open the event.

"This is the Mardi Gras for superheroes, for fans, for comic books and everything," he said. "It's very exciting because it's positive."

About 80,000 fans are expected to attend the expo, which runs through Sunday.
