The people have spoken and a red-tail hawk that keeps a watchful eye over the Ontario legislature has been given a regal name — Her Majesty.
Premier Dalton McGuinty launched a poll on his blog earlier this summer to name the mother red-tail hawk and revealed the results online Thursday.
The bird has been spotted nesting in the trees at Queen's Park and is known to perch on the legislature's windowsills.
Hawkeye and Mama Hawk were the next two most popular choices.
