Harbour cruise killer gets life prison sentence
Kimron Bengy gets life sentence and Edwin Modeste gets 49 months

The man convicted of killing one of two men who were fatally stabbed after stepping off a Toronto harbour cruise in June 2009 has been sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 11 years.
Brandon Ramdeen, and another man Andy James, died after they were involved in a fight as a boat carrying more than 200 people unloaded in a parking lot at Polson Pier on June 21, 2009.
Kimron Bengy, 22, was found guilty in late April of second-degree murder in Ramdeen's death. He showed no emotion in a Toronto courtroom Monday morning when Justice Maureen Forestell sentenced him to life in prison .
In April, Bengy was found not guilty of second-degree murder in James' death.
Another man, 40-year-old Edwin Modeste, has been convicted of manslaughter in connection with Ramdeen's death and was sentenced Monday to 49 months in prison.
The victim's mothers are satisfied with the sentences, but say the judicial process has been tiring.
"I will never move on because I have no strength. I have no energy. I have a mashed up heart," said Ann James, Andy James' mother, outside the courthouse.
Three other men have also been charged in relation to the incident at Polson Pier. Their trial begins in the fall.
