Toronto police have charged a 20-year-old man with murder after a man's body was found overnight near Highway 401 and McCowan Road.
Police found the victim lying in a ditch on the west side of McCowan Road near the on-ramp to the highway at about 2 a.m. Sunday.
A news release from police says the man "was located with apparent injuries to the chest."
He was pronounced dead at the scene, and is believed to be in his 20s.
Police have not released the victim’s name yet as they are still trying to reach his next of kin.
On Sunday evening, police announced they've charged Zishan Malik of Toronto with second-degree murder. A statement from police said he was arrested Sunday morning at the 42 Division station.
Malik is to appear in court Monday morning in Scarborough, the statement said.
