A name has been chosen for Toronto Zoo's new polar bear cub.

"Hudson" was picked from five top names in an online vote following a Name the Cub contest.

The zoo said Saturday the contest attracted almost 40,000 submissions.

Hudson was born Oct. 11, 2011.

The Toronto Zoo has four polar bears, including three adult bears.
