Partial service between Islington and Kipling subway stations has resumed after Toronto Transit Commission crews closed

Kipling station for most of Friday to allow for emergency repairs.

The TTC said workers have made temporary repairs and will make permanent repairs after midnight.

Use of Kipling station will be limited to just one platform during the Friday afternoon rush-hour.

Every second or third train will stop only as far as Islington station as a result of this.

The TTC says a train operator felt a bump over a switch Friday morning and called transit control, which determined a section of rail was slightly twisted and needed to be replaced.
