Man accused of putting dead woman's body in carpet

Toronto police say a man has been charged with wrapping a dead woman’s body in a carpet and leaving it in a west-end laneway.
A 31-year-old woman’s body was found in a laneway in the Clendenan Avenue and Maria Street area of the Junction neighbourhood on Feb. 1.
Police say the woman’s body was moved from inside an apartment, rolled up in a carpet and left in the laneway.
A 23-year-old Toronto man faces a single count of performing an indignity to a dead body.
