A 22-year-old Woodbridge, Ont. woman and her family are searching desperately for a bone marrow transplant that could save her life, Marivel Taruc reports.

Cristina Di Corte has a gastrointestinal disease so rare only 70 people in the world have been diagnosed with it.

Nobody in her family is a match for a transplant, so instead they've launched an all-out social media search on Facebook, Twitter and a standalone website.

The website explains that a transplant will not cure Di Corte, but could extend her life by decades.
