Toronto police are trying to identify this woman. (CBC)A new image has been released of a woman police say is connected to the slaying of an aspiring Toronto musician.
Ten days ago, police released images from a security camera, showing two men and a woman, arriving and departing from a recording studio near Brimley Road and Lawrence Avenue East.
The two men have been taken into custody, but police have not been able to track down the woman.
Police say they need the public's help identifying the woman.
In a news release on Thursday, Toronto police advised her "to seek legal advice and contact the homicide squad as soon as possible, as she is a person of interest in this homicide."
Anthony Spencer was shot inside a Scarborough recording studio near Brimley Road and Lawrence Avenue East, in the early morning hours of Saturday, Jan. 21.
He was taken to Scarborough General Hospital by a number of people. He died a short time later.
Investigators believe they have the men responsible for shooting Spencer - but they also want to know the identity of a woman whose image was captured on security camera images at the strip mall where Spencer ran the recording studio.
The unidentified woman has been described by police as:
- Black, with a light skin complexion.
- Five feet tall with a petite build, weighing approximately 100 pounds.
- Her hair was in a ponytail.
- She was carrying a large shoulder bag and wearing a jacket and hooded sweatshirt.
