Police in York region, north of Toronto, have arrested two men they allege were involved in the killing of a Markham woman in a violent home invasion in November.

Both men have been charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder in relation to the violent Nov. 8 home invasion on Helen Avenue in the Highway 407 and Kennedy Road area.

Police are still investigating and expect to make additional arrests, Det.-Sgt. Larry Wilson said at a Friday afternoon news conference.

Bich-Ha Pan, 53, was shot during the invasion and died at the scene. Her husband, Huei Hann Pan, 57, was also shot several times but survived.

The couple's daughter, Jennifer Pan, was arrested on Nov. 23 and also charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the death of her mother and the shooting of her father. Police initially said Pan was separated from her parents and tied up in another room in the house.

She was unhurt.

Men suspected of entering residence

Eric Carty, 31, was arrested early Friday at the Maplehurst Correctional Complex, where he is already in custody, said Wilson.

David Mylvaganam, 22, was arrested Thursday in the Jane and Finch area in Toronto.

"It is the belief of the investigation that ... two of these individuals did enter the residence and commit these horrendous crimes," said Wilson.

Police wouldn't comment on the relationship between the two men and Pan.

"The investigation is continuing, and we are looking for some more individuals involved in this. So I'm not going to get into too much detail," said Wilson.

"But we do have a connection between all the individuals that we are investigating."

Both men are from Toronto.
