Toronto Mayor Rob Ford's words, good and bad, will be preserved in a quote book due to be published next month.
Entitled The Little Book of Rob Ford, the 168-page publication will feature "quips, quotes and colourful comments" from Toronto's outspoken mayor, winner of the November municipal election.
The book will be released by Anansi, a publishing house with an author list that includes some of Canada's most renowned literary authors, including Margaret Atwood, George Bowering and Michael Ondaatje.
Publicity director Laura Repas said Anansi launched into the Ford quote book project because he has "said some doozies" during his 10 years as city councillor and during his mayoral campaign. Repas also said Anansi has a long history of publishing non-fiction.
"He's such a polarizing character," said Repas of Ford. "He's highly quotable. People either think he's the worst thing that's happened to the city or he's great. No one is neutral on Rob Ford."
Repas said the book's quotes, more than 100 in total, come from online news websites, and each quote is sourced in a bibliography.
The quotes are divided into various subjects such as sports, the arts and transit.
The book's author is listed only as "The Unknown Torontonian," and Repas said it was the quote compiler's decision to remain anonymous.
The book will retail for $8.99 and be available next month.
