Toronto police have charged a 13-year-old boy after a pizza delivery employee was robbed at gunpoint.
The incident occurred Monday after two pizza store employees made a delivery to a home on Chimneystack Road, near Keele Street and Steeles Avenue West.
Police say a boy approached one of the delivery men, asked to inspect the pizza, and then pointed a gun at his head. The man's money, cellphone and the pizza were taken.
The other delivery man, who was waiting in the car, was approached by a second boy, police said in a statement.
One boy went to the car, pointed a gun at the man inside, and demanded a cellphone and some cash, police said.
The two then ran off, police said.
The boy who was charged was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning. He cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
