A woman facing G20 summit-related mischief charges will spend another two weeks in custody after her lawyer was more than three hours late for a bail hearing Tuesday.

Kelly Pflug-Back, 21, is charged with six counts of mischief over $5,000 in connection with damage caused by protesters during the summit of world leaders in Toronto last month.

The hearing was supposed to start at 10 a.m., but her lawyer, Steve Gehl, did not arrive until 1:15 p.m. and the judge put the case over to Aug. 10 at Gehl's request.

Pflug-Back turned herself in to police last week in Peterborough, Ont., just hours after an arrest warrant was issued for her.

When Gehl arrived he said, "Good morning, your worship," before correcting himself with a "Good afternoon."

Gehl, who is based in Guelph, Ont., 90 kilometres west of Toronto, told the judge he "took the wrong turn."

Apparently, all attempts to reach him during the morning had been unsuccessful, and both Crown attorney John Healy and friends and family of the accused could be seen wandering in the hallway all Tuesday morning and early afternoon.

When court finally got underway, Gehl requested that the case be adjourned until Aug. 10, and, after consultations, the judge confirmed the date.

"Don't be late," he told Gehl.

"I will be here," Gehl said.

Police allege Pflug-Back was an organizer of G20 violence that saw at least five police vehicles burned and storefront windows smashed on June 26.
