Toronto police have arrested four men and one young offender on Monday in connection with vandalism that occurred during protests on the G20 summit weekend.

The police investigative team looking into violence and vandalism during the summit of world leaders issued a press release Monday afternoon identifying the five, who are all from Toronto:

  • Michael Corbett, 29, was charged with mischief over $5,000.
  • Bryan O'Handley, 19, was charged with mischief of $5,000.
  • Jeffrey Delaney, 23, was charged with mischief over $5,000 and attempted theft over $5,000.
  • Robert Kainola, 24, was charged with mischief over $5,000.
  • A young offender, who can't be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act was charged with two counts of mischief over $5,000.

Two other men were arrested Sunday, Det.-Sgt. Gary Giroux told CBC's Metro Morning earlier Monday.

Kurt Roarco, 22, of no fixed address, was charged with arson in connection with the torching of a police cruiser, mischief over $5,000 and failing to comply with probation.

Andrew Loughrin, 23, of Toronto was charged with mischief over $5,000 in connection with damage to another police cruiser.

Giroux said that the 15 officers on the police's G20 investigative team have arrested or identified seven people who were on their so-called 10 most wanted list of vandals who police say acted violently during the summit protests.

Police released the list last Wednesday. It contained 38 images of 10 people police identified as possibly being responsible for criminal activity during the protests, and police asked the public for help identifying the individuals.

Giroux said he expects to release another such list this Wednesday.

On the whole, police have identified around 60 people of interest in connection with G20-related vandalism, primarily during protests that turned violent on June 26, he said.

Last Thursday, police charged Cody Caplette, 21, with mischief over $5,000 for allegedly damaging a police cruiser.

Two other people, who were not on the police's list, were arrested last week in connection with the violence that occurred during the protest.

Police said the public has sent them more than 16,000 pictures and 500 videos of the protests that occurred during the summit.
