Friends and family have rallied around him since his arrest eight days ago. His parents, who were identified as potential sureties, and brother were at the courthouse for the bail hearing.

Few details of the case have been released and a publication ban has been placed on all court hearings. Police will only say the case relates to G20 summit security.
