This photo of Byron Sonne was taken from the social networking site Facebook. A man facing G20-related weapons and explosives charges will have to spend at least two more nights behind bars.
Byron Sonne's bail hearing is slated to continue Friday because of the volume of material that needs to be presented.
Sonne, 37, is accused of .
- Possession of explosives for an unlawful purpose.
- Possession of dangerous weapons.
- Intimidation of a justice system participant by threat.
- Intimidation of a justice system participant by watch and beset.
- Mischief.
- Attempted mischief
Sitting in the prisoner's box, the internet security expert listened closely to testimony Wednesday, sometimes shaking his head.
Friends and family have rallied around him since his arrest eight days ago. His parents, who were identified as potential sureties, and brother were at the courthouse for the bail hearing.
Few details of the case have been released and a publication ban has been placed on all court hearings. Police will only say the case relates to G20 summit security.
Sonne's common law wife, Kristen Peterson, was also taken into custody last Thursday. She was released on bail over the weekend.
She was also charged with possession of explosives and dangerous weapons.
