Kite surfers fall through ice on Lake Simcoe

A group of kite surfers were rescued after falling through the ice in Cook's Bay on Lake Simcoe near Keswick, Ont., Friday afternoon.
Four men, who had been sliding across the water's frozen surface while being pulled by a kite, broke through the ice around 4:45 p.m., York Region police said.
People watching the surfers from the shore saw them fall in and called the police.
Rescue crews arrived at the scene and helped them out of the frigid water.
The men range in age from 38 to 67, police said.
They were taken to hospital and treated for hypothermia.
Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Cook's Bay is the southernmost bay of in Lake Simcoe. Keswick is about 60 km southeast of Barrie.
