(Toronto Police Service) Three men charged with committing gang sexual assaults in Toronto were released on bail Friday.

Hyung Jun Ha, 26, and Sang Cheol Lee, 37, both of Toronto, and Jong Il Lee, 33, of Orangeville were granted bail during a brief court appearance.

The three have been charged with several counts each of gang sexual assault, administering a drug for sex, forcible confinement and threatening death. They're also charged with making child pornography.

Police made the arrests between March 11 and 16. They have issued Canada-wide warrants for three other men, Jin Hyun Kim, 33, Yoon Hyun Cho, 26, and Jung Jay Lee, 26, all of Toronto.

Const. Tony Vella said the men already arrested allegedly "gang raped" four woman in separate attacks at "various locations within the Greater Toronto Area."

The alleged assaults happened between the fall of 2009 and last month after the accused met the victims through a Korean community church, police said.

Details from Friday's court proceedings cannot be published by court order.

Two of the men, Hyung Jun Ha and Sang Cheol Lee, are in Canada on student visas. Their lawyer, Jacqueline An, described the allegations against them as "utter fabrication."

"Of my entire career as a criminal lawyer, I have never seen a case of this magnitude about outrageous and horrific allegations," she said.

An said her clients, who are from South Korea, do not have a strong grasp of English.

All three men are due back in court next month.
