Crosby's golden puck heads to Hall of Fame

The plan is to put the famous chunk of rubber on display in Toronto as soon as possible.
The puck is the one Sidney Crosby scored with in a 3-2 overtime thriller over the U.S. in the Olympic men's hockey final Feb. 28.
"I am happy to see that the puck is going to the Hockey Hall of Fame," Crosby said in a statement Tuesday. "I feel very lucky to have been part of that team and that game as well, and I am glad hockey fans will get the chance to share the moment by seeing things like the overtime winning puck up close."
From Vancouver, the puck somehow made its way to the International Ice Hockey Federation offices in Switzerland.
In the tumult of celebration after the game, officials couldn't figure out who they were supposed to give the puck to and held on to it until they could give it to the IIHF.
The IIHF, together with Games organizer VANOC, subsequently decided it would go to the Hall of Fame.
