Toronto has announced its next round of H1N1 clinics will open in early January. (Canadian Press) Toronto Public Health has released the dates, times and locations for the next round of H1N1 flu clinics.
Starting in the new year four large clinics will operate at various times during the month of January. The main target of the new round of vaccinations will be young children who need a booster shot.
"Clinics will be held in January in order to give children under three a second dose of H1N1 vaccine," the agency said in a news release.
"These clinics will also provide another opportunity for the general public to get both seasonal and H1N1 vaccines."
After seven weeks of needle jabbing, Toronto Public Health managed to immunize 228,934 people at the 10 large clinics, homeless shelters and drop-in centres.
That total does not include people who recieved the H1N1 shot at Toronto hospitals, or at their doctor's offices.
Toronto Public Health says more than one million doses of the vaccine have been provided to doctors, clinics and community health centres.
