Police have identified a man was shot and killed in a home invasion in Toronto's west end on Tuesday night.
Police found Toronto resident Alex Rodney Rundle, 28, severely wounded in a home at 129 Wincott Dr., near Kipling Avenue and The Westway, at about 7:30 p.m.
Rundle, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds, was taken to Sunnybrook hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died, police said.
When police arrived on the scene in response to a report of a home invasion, they found another man clad only in his underwear lying in the middle of the street, screaming that someone had been shot inside the home.
Police then found Rundle lying prone inside. The other victim, who had yet to be identified, suffered minor injuries.
Three male suspects who police believe were wearing masks when they broke into the home are now being sought.
The killing marks Toronto's 52nd homicide of the year.
