Toronto police raided a home on Wilkinson Drive on Monday night and seized more than 1,300 marijuana plants.

Police say there were eight rooms in the home, near Victoria Park Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East, being used to grow the plants ,and that an illegal hydro bypass was also being used to supply power.

In a separate raid at another residence, police arrested three men who they suspect are connected to the grow operation.

Ngoc Tran, 50, and Trinh Lien, 38, both of Toronto, and Thanh Tran, 45, of Massachusetts were charged with a number of offences related to the marijuana seizure, as well as theft of electricity.

In addition to the plants, police also seized cash and a car which they suspect was used to transport marijuana.
