Three people were injured after lightning struck in Brampton, Ont., on Wednesday. (Sean Magennis/CBC)Two young boys struck by lightning this week in Brampton, Ont., are improving, according to a Toronto hospital spokesperson and the father of one of the boys.
Kyus Caines, 5, remains in critical condition at Toronto Hospital for Sick Children, his father Oral Caines told CBC News on Friday outside the hospital.

His father said he brought in a copy of the film Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen for the boy to watch.
"He's got his eyes wide open," he said. "He's so drugged up right now, I don't think he even knows what's going on."
Meanwhile, the condition of Caines's unnamed three-year-old friend has been upgraded to good.
Kyus's mother, Dulce, 26, was also struck, but was released Friday from Brampton Civic Hospital and travelled to Sick Kids to be with her son.
The three were on a soccer field in Centennial Park around 2 p.m. Wednesday when they were hit by what one witness described as a "fireball."
Kyus's grandmother said it's believed he bore the brunt of the lightning strike because he was carrying a metal scooter over his shoulder at the time.
