Visitors to Niagara Falls, Ont., will soon have another way to get there — using Ontario's commuter train service.

For the first time, GO Transit will run seasonal weekend and holiday train service to the Niagara Region starting Saturday, June 27.

GO will offer four train trips daily in each direction on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays until Oct. 12 on the Thanksgiving weekend.

Passengers can board trains on the following stops: Union Station in Toronto, the Port Credit GO station in Missisauga, the Oakville GO station, Burlington GO station and the St. Catharines VIA Rail station.

The final stop is the Niagara Falls VIA Rail station. From there, visitors can take local transit or walk for about 30-40 minutes to get to the falls.

An adult single-ride fare from Union Station to Niagara Falls will be $15.90. The trip is expected to take about two hours.
